I had an older microwave for many years and one day, when it died, I did some searching and kept hearing about the GE Spacemaker JEM25. So after going to see it – I knew I had to try it.
I’m so glad I did! It only cost me $200, and it’s a perfect new fixture in my kitchen, that the whole family including my son in elementary school, can use.
Here are just a few of the features about the GE Spacemaker JEM25 that I love, that I think you’ll love too.
Convenience cooking controls
This makes my life so much easier, as I no longer need to sit there and figure out what buttons to press to get the result I want. There are many on-touch buttons on the main control panel that I can push to defrost food or even heat up a certain kind of food, which makes microwave cooking at meal time effortless. Not having to worry about it makes it easy to prepare multiple meal components at once – perfect for all those working Mom’s!

Optional built-in trim kit
This was a great thing to allow us to make the microwave fit in with the decor of our home. This kit lets anyone who purchases the JEM25 to allow for that custom look that makes it seem like you spent a million bucks to make it look superb, and for that you can use JX827 27″ built in kit. JX827DMWW for White color and JX827DMBB for Black color.
Optional Hanging Kit
This was something that was offered to us when we purchased the JEM25 and it’s a great feature. It lets you install the microwave under the cabinet with 04-A019 hanging kit, which can free up some much needed counter space. This can be excellent for those with a smaller kitchen, who still need beautiful and functional appliances.
Auto and Timed Defrost buttons
This is an automated feature that I’ve used time and time again – and I still love it! This feature allows you to defrost up to six pounds of meat, fish or poultry or a smaller amount with the time feature – it’s all up to you. It’s easy, all you have to do is to enter the weight of the food you’re defrosting and the length of time you need to defrost it for. You’ll never have to worry about over or under defrosted food ever again.
Turntable with On/Off feature
This feature allows you to rotate food for even cooking! Nothing is worse than when I would cook something in the microwave, only to have half of it ice cold. It can accommodate even rather large casserole dishes – a great feature when you’re making a large family dinner or food for parties.
Available in Black (JEM25DMBB) and White (JEM25DMWW) color.
